A Note from Yao, 24 hours out

UXCON26 IS TOMORROW

I keep having the same conversation lately, just with different people saying it. A researcher asking if AI quietly took half her job. A designer who got handed decisions that used to belong to engineering. A junior hire whose offer letter somehow covered three roles that used to be three separate people.

We didn’t build UXCON26 to hand out answers. We built it because that conversation deserves a real room, not another LinkedIn thread. Tomorrow, Don Norman is here. So are people from Netflix, The New York Times, Target, UserTesting, and Skylight, and Jeremy Miller’s hosting. Nobody’s bringing a framework to sell you. They’re bringing what’s actually working on their teams right now, and what’s falling apart.

If you’re still deciding, that’s fair. But if there’s any version of you that’s been wanting a room like this, tomorrow’s it.

And if you’ve already got a ticket, I look forward to connecting tomorrow.

The energy is already here. We just wrapped an expert-led workshop, and the room wasn’t sitting through a talk, it was working through the real question. Are you using AI in your research, or are you quietly letting it think for you?

The conversations have started. UXCON26 is already in motion. The workshops were just the beginning. Tomorrow, we take the stage.
